The
Head of Mechanical Design
will:nSupport control strategy definition for the mechanical systems within the EDU.nCoordinate system and supplier comparison studies and evaluate RFQ responses to influence management decisions.nSupport all Virtual Verification activities, including packaging, 1D & 3D analyses.nWork cross-functionally with other R&D departments to define EDU mechanical systems.nEngage and collaborate with wider team and external suppliers to deliver E-Powertrain.nLead the team to develop multiple design solution options for evaluation to enable trade-off between various component attributes and their impact on the E-Powertrain system and overall vehicle performance.
The
Head of Mechanical Design
will have:nEngineering Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic and/or related field.nHigh Voltage Live Working Qualification.nExperience of delivering E-Powertrain commodities from early R&D to series production through an automotive product creation system.nKnowledge of all relevant vehicle legislation and certification requirements for automotive EDU systems.nExcellent automotive powertrain mechanical integration knowledge.nExperience with CAD (NX, CATIA).nStrong teamwork skills, self-motivated, eager to take responsibility and deliver results with minimal supervision.nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
