TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Specialist School for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs in the Plymouth area. This school prides itself on using a trauma informed approach and is currently rated “Good” by OFSTED. They receive glowing feedback from parents and pupils alike, most commenting on the kindness and inclusivity shown by staff.
This school is looking for a resilient Learning Mentor with Driving Responsibilities on a full time basis, for a long term booking to start in September. The successful applicant should have experience working within specialist schools, including challenging behaviour and with students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs. The role will include providing Learning Outside of The Classroom with students who struggle with mainstream models of education, mostly on a 1:1 basis.
The successful Learning Mentor will have:
Level 3 in a relevant subject or proven experience
Experience working on a 1:1 basis
A Full Driving License & their own Vehicle
