We are seeking a highly experienced Director of Sustainability & Operations to lead, inspire, and grow our sustainability team. This pivotal role will be responsible for overseeing the operations of a large and diverse team of sustainability professionals, driving business development with new and existing clients, and expanding our sustainability service offering.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership for the sustainability team, ensuring efficient operations and high performance.
Oversee and manage the delivery of a wide range of sustainability projects, ensuring alignment with our clients' goals and global sustainability standards.
Play a key role in the development and growth of our sustainability service offering, identifying new opportunities in the market.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients, fostering business growth through proactive engagement and thought leadership.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions that advance sustainability and business objectives.
Mentor and develop senior team members, creating a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.About You:
You are an experienced leader with a deep understanding of sustainability and operations in the built environment. You have a strong track record in team leadership, business development, and delivering high-quality sustainable solutions. You are innovative, commercially astute, and keen to take the next step in your career by joining a dynamic and forward-thinking consultancy.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Extensive experience in sustainability consulting in the built environment sector and ideally in the following areas
Green Building Certifications (BREEAM, WELL, LEED etc.)
Building Physics & Energy Modelling
Whole Life Carbon Analysis and Embodied Carbon
Net Zero and Circular Economy Strategies
Proven track record in leading and growing high-performing teams.
Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and secure new business opportunities.
In-depth knowledge of sustainability frameworks and certifications (BREEAM, LEED, WELL, etc.).
Commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and deliver profitable growth.
