Finance Administrator

Location: Thirsk, North Yorkshire, UK
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 4-day week - Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 5.30pm (38 working hours)
Contract: 6-9 months MAT Cover
Overview:
Are you an Accountancy, Finance, or Business graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment? Or do you have some experience in finance and are seeking your next challenge? We have a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented Finance Administrator to join our client’s team in Thirsk on a 6-9 month contract. This role offers hands-on experience and is a great stepping stone into the accountancy and finance industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Input and manage supplier invoices, expense claims, and payment requests.
Administer company credit card transactions and reconcile bank statements.
Manage petty cash transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Assist with HR administration tasks, including maintaining staff records.
Provide support to the Financial Controller and assist the Finance Officer as needed.
Prepare and process monthly payroll using SAGE.
Perform general office administration duties and ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
A degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Some experience in an accounts or finance role is advantageous but not essential.
Strong numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
A proactive approach and a willingness to learn and develop.
