Position Title: Water Hygiene/Legionella Technician

Overview: As a Water Hygiene/Legionella Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of water systems across various locations within the Dundee area. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of technical services aimed at maintaining optimal water hygiene standards and preventing the risk of Legionella contamination. This role offers a dynamic and varied work environment, requiring mobility and the ability to work independently while delivering high-quality services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Water Hygiene Management: Conduct routine inspections and assessments of water systems in accordance with industry regulations and guidelines. This includes identifying potential risks, implementing control measures, and ensuring adherence to best practices for water hygiene and Legionella prevention.
Client Consultation: Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on their responsibilities regarding water hygiene and Legionella management. Educate clients on the importance of regular maintenance and compliance with regulatory requirements to safeguard public health.
Quality Monitoring: Implement and maintain quality control systems to monitor the effectiveness of water hygiene measures. Conduct regular testing and analysis of water samples to assess microbial levels and identify any deviations from acceptable standards.
Schematic Drawings: Assist in the creation of detailed schematic drawings of water systems within various types of buildings. These drawings serve as valuable resources for understanding the layout and configuration of water infrastructure, facilitating effective maintenance and troubleshooting.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all activities related to water hygiene management, including inspection reports, test results, and compliance documentation. Prepare detailed reports for clients and regulatory authorities as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
City & Guilds (or equivalent) qualification in Legionella Hot & Cold Systems.
Proven experience in carrying out technical Legionella works and water hygiene practices.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations governing water hygiene and Legionella control.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, colleagues, and regulatory agencies.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards of service and compliance.Mobility Requirements: This role is mobile, requiring regular travel to different locations within the Dundee area. The successful candidate must possess a valid driving licence and be willing to commute to various sites for work assignments.
