Commercial Director
We are looking for an accomplished Commercial Director to create and lead the strategy for growth across all brands in our portfolio: Crash, GolfMagic, Visordown, CarThrottle & Bikesport News.
We are looking for a leader with a track record of driving commercial success, someone who has relationships and influence within at least one of our verticals and also London agencies. A leader who can inspire the team, foster a performing culture and implement strategies that resonate in a competitive market.
This individual will also be very familiar with the tech landscape as programmatic revenue will fall under the remit of this role as will commercial elements such as affiliate revenue, branded content, licensing etc.
This role reports into the MD and significant experience within the digital media and publishing landscapes is required.
Main Accountabilities:
Revenue Growth
Develop and implement strategies to increase commercial revenues, ensuring sustainable long-term growth.
Identify and exploit new market opportunities to lead revenue expansion.
Market Influence and Agency Relationships:
Leverage existing relationships within agencies to secure strategic partnerships and advantageous deals.
Expand our influence within the automotive and sports industries
Leadership and Team Development:
Inspire and lead the commercial team, encouraging a culture of performance, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Mentor team members, ensuring they have the skills to achieve their targets.
Financial Oversight and Performance Management:
Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning to ensure we grow revenues Year-on-year
Report on commercial performance, utilising indicators and other metrics to track progress and adjust strategies.
Customer and Partner Relationship Management:
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction, addressing needs and concerns
Build relationships with main clients and partners to foster loyalty and achieve business growth.
Innovation Edge:
Promote the creation and implementation of strategies that keep us at the forefront of industry trends and advancements.
Ensure our offerings meet market demands.
Collaboration:
Work with other departments (e.g., Editorial, Development etc) to ensure agreement and support for commercial projects.
Promote collaboration across the organisation to achieve strategic goals
Experience that will put you ahead of the curve…
Experience managing sales organisations and teams
Experience in the Motorsport or Automotive industries
