**What you’ll be doing:**
* Lead and manage a team of professional Supply Chain Staff and Managers in the delivery of the Supply Chain Functional Strategy and Plan, specifically in support of the area portfolio that has been assigned to the individual
* Provide support and assistance in the development of key strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction (internally and externally)
* Provide strategic direction vision in all areas of responsibility in order to achieve business objectives in line with corporate requirements
* Support the delivery of the product by ensuring that direct reports have purpose and clarity and are empowered to meet key delivery targets on time and within budget
* Actively promote cross functional working in order to augment and achieve key knowledge transfer and promote best working practices across the business

**Your skills and experiences:**
Essential:
* MCIPS or equivalent level, relevant, professional qualification (mandatory)
* Experience in Supply Chain Management

* APMQ Qualification would be advantageous

**The Supply Chain Team:**
As a Senior Supply Chain Manager at BAE Systems, you will be deployed to some
of our major projects, leading, enabling & empowering the team to deliver our
key programmes through integrated management and development of People,
Process, Toolsets & Reporting. This is a Fast paced, commercial procurement
environment with a varied range of development opportunities, working as part
of a diverse team to deliver part of the UK’s National Defence Programme. We
offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to
meeting eligibility criteria.
