Job title: Supply Chain Manager - Category Management

Location: Barrow-In-Furness - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.

**Salary**: £43,373+ depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

- Leading the development and delivery of category strategies to support current and future programmes, ensuring these remain topical and utilise SME inputs from across our programmes
- Identifying opportunities for collaboration with other business functions and sectors, including the wider BAE Systems business
- Undertaking category data analysis to identify opportunity and risk
- Acting as champion for procurement, with a particular focus on embedding category management of direct spend across the businesses
- Communicating regularly to senior leaders and stakeholders on the progress and benefits of the category strategy

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:

- Excellent communicator and influencer with strong stakeholder engagement and management experience
- Ability to analyse data and produce viable strategic sourcing strategies
- Ability to present complex ideas to different audiences
- Good understand of contractual and commercial levers

Desirable
- Previous experience of managing a category or sub-categories of spend, balancing the needs of multiple projects, business divisions or stakeholders
- Experience of facilitation and collaboration of workshops & working groups
- MCIPS

The team: The Supply Chain Procurement Team

As a Procurement Leader
- Category Management, you will be responsible for identifying areas of opportunity for aggregating spend and requirements and securing long-term value across our Submarine programmes.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work collaboratively across all platforms and potentially work with external customers and the wider BAE Systems business on development and delivery of your category strategies.
