A leading civils contractor is seeking an experienced civils H&S advisor to join them on a £90M scheme that will be ongoing for 3 years based in Hampshire. This is a exceptional opportunity to join a leading contractor with a highly experienced and longstanding team.
About the role of Health & Safety Advisor
This opportunity will be site based across Hampshire, working on a array of impressive schemes to add to your portfolio including Rail, Aviation, highways & heavy infrastructure, with works ranging from £10M - £100M.
Responsibilities for Health & Safety Advisor
Direct and ensure projects are following the relevant H&S standards on site and issue any training if necessary.
Obtain and maintain strong working relationships with individuals within the business, site team and client
Carry out regular site inspections and visits
Assist and mentor more junior advisor
Ensure Site Management is aware of and provided with up to date SHE documentation
Assist with the preparation of various SHE Awareness briefings, toolbox talks, alerts etc. in line with operational requirements.
Requirements for Health & Safety Advisor
Previous experience within the civils sector is essential
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Relevant NEBOSH qualification and preferably a degree in civil engineeringMy client are an extremely successful civil contractor with a turnover of over £800M and incredible;e relationships with local authorities
