We are looking for a Corporate Health and Safety Manager to oversee and manage Business Partners and Administrators daily to ensure a positive and progressive health and safety culture at CHP. Plan, deliver, monitor, and review health and safety measures, resolving and learning from compliance issues. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation for all business operations and stakeholders. Provide expert knowledge in Corporate Health and Safety, evolving policies and practices, and engaging key stakeholders in continuous improvement.
What you'll be doing
* Provide expertise and advice in line with statutory obligations and best practices.
* Oversee Health and Safety information, data, and reporting.
* Maintain positive relationships with CHP stakeholders and regulators, including the HSE and Fire and Rescue Services. Partner with teams such as Building Safety, Construction and Trades.
* Provide regular updates to the Safety Committee, Leadership team, senior management, and CHP Board on health and safety activities to manage and mitigate risk.
* Challenge and improve working practices to enable continual improvement.
* Ensure prompt investigation and reporting of incidents promptly, including reporting to the HSE, and ensure appropriate follow-up actions.
What we're looking for
* NEBOSH General Certificate
* Proven experience leading Health and Safety in a relevant environment.
* Experience developing and implementing H&S policies, procedures, and frameworks.
* Ability to promote and support a positive H&S culture within CHP.
* Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex issues.
* Ability to collaborate with other teams to ensure compliance.
