Project Manager - Solar PV Installation
Our Client, a leading company in renewable energy technologies is hiring a Project Manager for their solar photovoltaic (PV) installation projects. This company focuses on solar PV systems and electric vehicle charging stations. The company has worked on major projects for big businesses and well-known venues.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with solar PV experience to join the company's growing renewable energy team. You will manage the day-to-day installation of solar PV systems at construction sites and commercial properties across the country.Based in the Rochester office, you will be the senior project manager working with an existing team. Ideal candidates have hands-on solar PV experience, either from previous jobs or relevant qualifications like electrical engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the daily installation of solar PV and electrical systems
* Organize and lead the installation crews
* Order materials and ensure timely delivery to sites
* Submit grid connection applications for solar systems (training provided)
* Assist with electrical system designs
* Keep project management software updated for compliance
* Ensure work quality meets required standards
* Provide technical support
* Some site visits required, but primarily office-based
Skills & Experience Needed
* Prior experience in the solar PV industry
* Technical understanding of electrical and solar PV systems
* Those transitioning to project management from field roles are encouraged
* Electrical qualifications are required
* Proficient with Microsoft Office
* Valid UK driver's license
