Mission and Main Objectives:
AESC is the world’s leading battery technology company and lithium-ion battery manufacturer. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the North East’s highest profile manufacturing plants as we are expanding our operations at our battery manufacturing plant in Sunderland.
Outline and Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will ideally have a broad-based experience in manufacturing and maintenance and will represent the Engineering Department in all aspects of training and upskilling maintenance employee’s and apprentices. AESC is always looking how to help the future generation of staff and this role is imperative to doing so.
The following responsibilities:
* Support the development, implementation, upskilling & delivery of the Maintenance Departments training requirements. This would include training apprentices.
* Support the development & implementation of Maintenance Training controls and reporting systems. This would include implementation of any new technology, training upon this and implementing training plans to produce to all maintenance staff.
* Support Trainee recruitment, training & development.
* Daily use and development of Maintenance tools & best practices.
* Promote and strengthen cross functional team skill up activities.
* Support Department Recruitment activities.
* Support new project skill up & preparation.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
* An ONC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
* Time served apprenticeship.
* A strong Maintenance/Engineering background.
* Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Self-motivated and able to show initiative.
* Experience working in a cross functional environment.
* PC literate. Experience using Microsoft packages.
* Experience in PLC, Robots, Vision systems advantageous.
* Experience in a previous Training Role advantageous.
* Experience developing & delivering in house training advantageous
