Aspire is seeking a compassionate and skilled male SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
This position offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who require additional support.
This role is a temp to perm for the right candidate
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
* Work closely with teachers to modify and adapt classroom activities and materials.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere.
* Support students in developing social skills and emotional well-being.
* Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals regarding student progress and needs.
* Participate in staff meetings and training sessions focused on SEN strategies and best practices.
Qualifications:
* MUST HAVE Experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
* Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions is preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of students.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support (e.g., a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) is desirable but not mandatory.
