Job DescriptionnWe have a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join our Planning Team reporting to the Plant Manager. This is a crucial role in order to support John Crane to optimise our operational performance through meticulous and organised Production Planning. The Planner will be responsible for coordinating the production workflow and scheduling Production Works Orders to ensure on time delivery of high-quality products to the customer based upon the original promise date requirements as agreed with the commercial team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities and a keen eye for detail.

This role is a full-time role based from our Headquarters within Slough working Monday to Friday in normal hours.

Duties & Responsibilities

(not limited to)nDevelop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation and minimizing costs as defined by the inputs from the Production Team.nExecute standardised planning processes through standard work whilst identifying and supporting opportunities for improvement.nCollaborate with various departments, including procurement, production, and logistics, to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.nMonitor production processes and ensure accurately updated schedules as needed to address issues and delays with strong communication to the Customer Services Team.nAnalyse production data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement actions in line with Production and S&OP to increase both efficiency and output.nCoordinate with inventory management to ensure adequate stock levels of raw materials and finished products.nCommunicate production schedules, goals, and deadlines to relevant stakeholders.nEvaluate production capacity and capabilities to support business growth objectives aligned to the S&OP team.nStay updated on industry trends and best practices in production planning and management.nAct as the liaison to the CST team, supporting commercial led meetings as required.nSAP data cleanse/accuracy focusing to Leadtime and planning parameters.nPerform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the planning team.
