Data Technical Product Owner - Milton Keynes About The RoleSALARY:  Up to £85,271 pa dependent on experience LOCATION: Milton Keynes HYBRID WORKING: Our current hybrid working policy requires 20% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role. Typically, this team will work up to 3 days per week in the office togetherHOURS / CONTRACT TYPE: Full time permanent 35 hours CLOSING DATE: 27/11/25  We reserve the right to close the advert earlier If we receive a high volume of applications.We’re looking for a Data Technical Product Owner  who will be responsible for leading, creating, development and delivery of data technical products that support and enable the development of new commercial propositions and delivery to market.This role is being evolved to a Data Domain Technology Owner as part of our new enterprise data management operating model. Fundamentally, the role will own the technical implementation of the evolution towards a "Data Driven Business" in line with VWFS data and global business strategies.What you’ll bring: You’ll already have strong experience in a Data Technical Product Owner  role within enterprise data management and you want to be part of a growing professional enterprise data management capability supporting a dynamic world-class customer focused businessYou’ll have Strong functional knowledge of enterprise data management across data engineering, data governance, data platforms, data and AI product development, BI development and data science Essential experience & skills: You're knowledgeable and experienced in agile project delivery, data technology strategy, data engineering, data operating models and data products Understanding of software development processes and, applying data science methods and coding with Python  You have knowledge and experience of enterprise data platforms across different data capabilities  Proven track record of leading and designing new or modifying existing enterprise data IT solutions to improve business performance  You have experience of leading or coordinating agile teams comprised of specialist IT and data technical resources Knowledge and experience of working in a waterfall / PRINCE2/ Agile environment with experience of agile / iterative delivery of change You're good at developing internal and external business relationships, using your knowledge, skills and experience for influencing Excellent communicator - verbal, written and presenting internal and external stakeholders) DAMA or equivalent data/AI professional certifications and memberships  Agile professional certification (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM, BCS)  You may have a combined qualification in data analytics/science & business e.g. business informatics, industrial engineering or a comparable background  Previous experience in Financial Services, Automotive Finance or retail consumer finance (B2C)  What you’ll be doing: You will own and drive data technical products and services from inception to completion, including enterprise data management and prioritisation of features backlog and constant iteration for data domains. Ensure product delivery runs smoothly on time and within budget and meeting commercial targets Lead a cross functional virtual technical team to deliver new propositions to the market  Work closely with the wider IT Team to identify relevant resources, skills and training to develop and integrate data technical products Work closely with IT service management to provide 3rd level specialist data support  Engage with, guide and support senior stakeholders - IT Senior Leadership team and BoM - to ensure understanding and buy-in on data technology products, data strategy and data operating models, including monetary investment  Develop, evolve, support and continuously improve the VWFS enterprise data management capability Collaborate with other Technical Product Owners, Data Technical Product Owners, Product Owners on new product requirements  You will own the gathering and analysis of requirements, identify solution options and assessment of business and technical feasibility within the enterprise data domain to support business demand for richer data, data products and data services  Fully own backlog prioritisation to maintain specific data technical product roadmap including prioritisation between new functional capabilities and addressing technical debt and lead on the estimating, validating and evaluating of data & AI products in-line with the enterprise data management roadmap, strategy and operating model  What’s in it for you?
