We have an exclusive mandate for a group head of pricing.
The client is a global (re) insurance group seeking a group head of pricing to lead a multi-disciplinary team of 20+ pricing actuaries and property cat modellers around the world. The portfolio is a 2bn+ book of business with both property, specialty and casualty lines, and minimal amounts of cyber. The team is responsible for case pricing and model development.
The role will see you have extensive liaison with line of business underwriting heads as well as general management. This is a true pricing leadership role, where the focus will be on leading the team, planning and strategising, and taking a holistic view of pricing.
The ideal candidate will have experience of large corporate insurance risks (either from an insurer or Lloyd's syndicate) and good people management skills. The role comes with a number of direct reports, all pricing managers, and they have a number of reports themselves, so the focus is on finding an individual who is NOT going to get stuck in the weeds pricing deals themselves but look to delegate effectively and manage a team.
