Software Development Manager

Highly recognisable eCommerce Start-up are looking for a Software Development Manager to build a brand new team from scratch, you’ll be joining a growing technology-centric business who are revolutionising the eCommerce / ordering sector.
The company has been established for just shy of two years now and has grown dramatically during that period. Head count currently stands at nearly 500 and as well as creating an environment where innovation and curiosity is encouraged, you’ll be responsible for building four new multi-disciplinary squads of Software Developers (Java/Kotlin), Front End (React), Product Managers, iOS, Android & Automation Engineers.
Ideally, you’ll come from a background of high web traffic environments where ordering & booking products / services is happening. That can be from any sector (fashion, food etc..) but the ideal candidate will have knowledge around mobile applications, both iOS & Android.
The company is already established in America & Europe and wants to create a London hub where learning, innovation and encouragement is pushed, regardless of what level you are. Most of the projects you work on will be highly transactional with over one millions transactions happening through them everyday.
Overview:nExperience of building new multi-disciplined teams from scratch.nKnowledge of hiring / working with the latest tech such as Java, Kotlin & React.nCome from a background of high traffic transactional environments where booking & ordering is happening.nHave experience of working mobile applications on both iOS & Android.nCan implement best practises and full test coverage to ensure code quality.nGenuine passion for technology and innovation.
The successful Software Development Manager will earn up to £120,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package.
