About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN-TA – Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist to join our supportive team. This full-time position is crucial in our Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classrooms, working closely with non-verbal students to provide tailored support. With a competitive salary range of £85-£100 per day, aligning with experience, this role offers stability and growth in a welcoming environment.
The position is available due to our commitment to expanding our SEN support team, ensuring every student receives the individualized care they deserve. The successful candidate will benefit from manageable class sizes that foster close student-teacher relationships, typically comprising 15-20 students per class.
Application Requirements:
• Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, particularly those who are non-verbal.
• Knowledge of communication strategies and sensory processing techniques.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD.
• Implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs).
• Collaborating with teachers and therapists to create a supportive learning environment.
• Monitoring student progress and reporting outcomes to the SENCo.
