Criminal Justice Worker- East Riding of Yorkshire  – Reputable Charity – Training & Progression  – Competitive Pay Rate

The Organisation:
A responsible and progressive charity, aiming to provide social justice and support to vulnerable groups of people across the UK; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living.
This company are currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.
The Opportunities:
Criminal Justice Workers will be working full time hours; -35 hours per week, with flexible days worked between Monday to Friday, 9AM to 5PM. 
Competitive pay rates; Criminal Justice Workers  are paid £19.01
 
Contract length will be 3-6-months long before consideration for extension or permanence.
You will be based across services in East riding of Yorkshire
The Re sponsibilities:
To engage with service users to offer advice,
To complete an appropriate assessment dependant on need  with a view to identifying the right  treatment pathway for the service user
 
To ensure that full risk assessments and safeguarding assessments are completed and that appropriate management plans are developed and discussed with Manager
 
To offer brief interventions, psychosocial interventions and harm minimisation strategies
 
To devise, monitor, review and update recovery care plans within the service to ensure that service user needs are met in a timely
appropriate  manner.
 
To promote the service, attend and participate in relevant meetings and give reports or presentations when required.
 
To ensure that the immediate environment of the service user in relation to service provision is well maintained, clean, tidy and assessed for any fire and health and safety risks. This should be achieved by taking appropriate follow up action directly or through the relevant third party.
 
Use resources efficiently and effectively, ensuring proper use and security at all times, and maintaining and checking all equipment and resources in own area of responsibility. This includes working within set budget and financial limits.
 
Work collaboratively in a multi-agency setting as required. This includes maintaining professional relationships and appropriate confidentiality of information.
 
Work with colleagues and coordinate activity across the team and with other stakeholders, including attending meetings, to ensure the service is achieving its aims.
 The Requirements:
Updated knowledge and experience of working practice across a supported housing or general needs social hosing setting.
Understanding of welfare and financial benefits available to vulnerable individuals and low-income households.
The Desirables:
 
Experience in roles such as Housing Support Officer’s, Tenancy Sustainment Officer’s etc, with a proven track record of quality housing management skill.
Housing membership or relevant qualifications, including CIH (Chartered Institution of Housing) or BA in Housing Management.
Understanding of relevant legal framework and eviction/notice processes.
