Contract Duration: 12 Months (with possibility of extension)
Working Hours: 36 hours per week, 09:00 - 17:00
Pay Rate: £24.53 Per Hour PAYE
Location: E8 1DY
Position Summary:
Leading the delivery of all stages of letting contracts for supported housing services.
To provide an effective procurement and contract management support function within the Service.
To provide advice and support on efficient and cost-effective purchasing of services on behalf of the Directorate, ensuring high-quality outcomes and value for money, through tendering and contracting activities.
Prepare Contract Award reports or equivalent to appropriate committees including Hackney Procurement Board and to Members at Cabinet Procurement Committee making recommendations where relevant, working with the Commissioning Lead.Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide contract management expertise in managing directorate contracts, developing and implementing strategies to meet service needs and ensure proper control of cost and process.
Prepare Contract Award reports or equivalent to appropriate committees including Hackney Procurement Board and to Members at Cabinet Procurement Committee making recommendations where relevant, working with the Commissioning Lead.
Maintain an effective contract management and monitoring system, ensuring that appropriate action is taken to achieve performance targets and control spending.
Ensure that the Council's policy of diversity and equality is embedded in contracts awarded.
Ensure that information concerning contracts is communicated effectively to the team as appropriate.
Analyse data and produce presentations to demonstrate findings and feedback from engagement and consultation with direction and support.
Take a lead role or support provider compliance with contractual obligations and performance. Key Requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of the role of contract management and procurement in the context of homelessness prevention, housing and/or health systems.
Knowledge and understanding of the role of housing, health, wellbeing and homelessness prevention in local authorities.
Knowledge and understanding of the impact of homelessness and housing-related issues on individuals including those with complex needs.
Knowledge of current tools and best practices in contract management, procurement, commissioning, project management, and service delivery.
