Senior Bridging Finance Underwriter

Salary: £100k total package inc Salary & Bonuses
Location: Mayfair, London
5 days in the office
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate and underwrite bridging finance loan applications, assessing the creditworthiness of borrowers and the viability of proposed transactions.
* Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, analysing financial statements, credit reports, and collateral valuations to make informed lending decisions.
* Collaborate with the sales team and borrowers to gather necessary documentation and information, ensuring a smooth and efficient underwriting process.
* Structure loan terms and conditions in accordance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management guidelines.
* Provide recommendations on loan approvals, declines, or modifications based on thorough analysis and risk assessment.
* Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to present underwriting decisions and address any concerns or questions.
* Stay informed about market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices related to bridging finance underwriting.
* Mentor and provide guidance to junior underwriters, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Qualifications:
* 2-3 years of underwriting experience.
* Strong analytical and communication skills.
* Proficiency in underwriting software and MS Office Suite.
* Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
