Job Description:
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Learning Difficulties Qualified Residential Childcare Workers to join our team. As a specialist Residential Childcare Worker specialising in Learning Disabilities, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day care, support, and development of the young people at Oak Tree House.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for children and young people with learning disabilities.
Develop and implement individualised care plans, focusing on the unique needs and abilities of each young person.
Support the emotional, social, and educational development of young people through tailored activities and interventions.
Promote positive behaviour and manage challenging situations in a calm and professional manner.
Build and maintain trusting relationships with young people.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure the best outcomes for our young people.
Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or NVQ equivalent qualification.
Previous experience working with children and young people with Learning Disabilities in a residential setting is essential. 
Strong understanding of child development, learning disabilities, and safeguarding practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
A full driving license is preferred but not essential.
