The Role
  • Departmental Leadership: Oversee the overall direction and development of the Computer Science department.
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a dynamic and engaging Computer Science curriculum that prepares students for success.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of dedicated Computer Science teachers.
  • Student Success: Promote student achievement and success in Computer Science.
  • External Relations: Represent the department within the school and wider community.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Computer Science department aligned with the schools overall vision.
  • Staff Development: Provide professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Resource Management: Manage and allocate departmental resources effectively.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Oversee the assessment and evaluation of student progress.
  • External Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with external organizations and institutions.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Experienced Computer Science Teacher: With a proven track record of success in teaching Computer Science at a senior level.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Excellent Subject Knowledge: A deep understanding of computer science concepts theories and current trends.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
