Job overview
The Senior Tax Analyst supports the Head of Accounting for Tax function within the Finance team. The role holder will be instrumental in supporting a growing Finance team with diversified skills and technical knowledge.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities will include:
TaxnTaking the lead on designing and implementing group wide tax strategy.nAccountable for all group's business taxes (direct and indirect), strategy, and effectiveness.nMaintaining a group wide tax calendar and work with internal staff as well as external tax consultants to ensure all tax related filings and payments are done on time.nAddressing all taxation issues by implementing effective tax planning and management solutions that optimize tax bills.nTaking ownership of tax related disclosures on the annual audited financial statements in all jurisdictions.nManaging the tax provisioning and compliance processes.nTaking ownership of group transfer pricing policy. Ensure that policy is regularly updated to take account of any changes in the business.nActing as the active liaison with business managers to address any transfer pricing charges related queries. Take lead on production of regular reports for business managers on transfer pricing charges.nEnsuring transfer pricing related compliance in each jurisdiction.nActing as the go-to point for any tax related matters and provide tax related advisory services to different departments across the business.nActively participating in any new business projects to provide tax related advisory. Ensuring that new projects are carried out in an most tax efficient manner.nAd hoc tax accounting projects and support the Head of Accounting on transactions and Group tax planning and implementation.nDeveloping good working relationships with internal stakeholders, advisors and tax authorities.nWriting and maintaining procedure documents for all tax returns VAT compliance support and review.nMaintaining compliance records, ensuring all tax filings and payments are made by the statutory deadlines.
Other tasksnMaintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.nEnsuring and maintaining the standard of all documentation for the department’s systems, controls, policies and processes.
What are we looking for
Previous experience working within a similar role within a commercial environmentnPrevious experience of working within in a regulated investment firmnAwareness of financial regulations, compliance and risk management within assigned country/regionnSome knowledge of the regulatory environment in which an FX firm operatesnFully ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified;nAdvanced Excel skills, including V-Lookups and pivot tables;nExperience using Workday is an advantage;nDemonstrable knowledge of UK financial Regulations;nSome knowledge of the regulatory environment in which an FX firm operates;nFluency in other European languages is desirable.
