About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant specialising in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to join our team. This full-time, long-term position has become available due to the expansion of our SEN department, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional support to all our students. The successful candidate will work closely with a small class of 15-20 pupils, offering tailored support and guidance to ensure their academic and personal development.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
• A relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting SEN students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs).
• Collaborating with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals to ensure cohesive support for students.
• Monitoring and recording student progress and reporting to relevant stakeholders.
