ROLE

We are looking for an ambitious paralegal, who is looking for a varied role that will offer a broad range of experience with firms across financial services. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ experience and working knowledge of some of the vertical specialisms across investment management including:

Retail funds;nAlternative funds;nInstitutional;nDistribution;nCustody;nAdministration;nRegulation;nTrading, execution and clearing; andnDerivatives, repos and securities lending.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the team to undertake varied legal work (i.e. contracts, advice, policies etc) across each specialism of investment management.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

bachelors law degree;nleast 3 years’ legal work experience;nlanguage proficiency;nresourceful, and confident with great problem-solving skills;nat building relationships internally and externally;ninterpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management, staff and clients located in different jurisdictions;nable to take the initiative and anticipate the firm’s and client’s needs;nto work effectively with a range of personality types and seniority levels;nmotivated self-starter with a history of pushing for deadline-driven results;nto jump in and support the team when/where needed;nand be one step ahead, constantly thinking about what needs to be done next to improve efficiency for the team and our clients;nto work in an environment requiring attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;nto work autonomously where required, meet deadlines and handle queries from inside and outside the company;nto commute to our offices in London as this is an in-office role with flexible working policy; andnmac laptop as we operate a BYOA(pple) policy to allow for maximum agility.

LOCATION

This is an in-office role based in London Bridge.
