About The Role

As an IT Services Technician it is your job to provide effective and efficient computer and network support to all Cornerstone employees; You must provide support and management of IT services remotely and on site across multiple locations for Cornerstone employees and residents, deal with escalated technical support issues engaging and managing 3rd party suppliers to ensure they maintain the infrastructure and services support in line with KPIs, Work with and support the internal Business System Owners to ensure all business systems are technically meeting the business needs.

You will be reporting to the Finance Director initially. The role requires strong organisational skills as well as positive and proactive communication both internally and externally. You will be required own all matters IT related and be dedicated to delivering support services in a manner that embraces our company values.

Hours of work

Monday to Friday between 09.00 and 17.00 (40 hours per week)

*You will be required to be part of an on-call rota *

The job roles and responsibilities of an IT Services Technician include.

Provide additional support beyond that provided by third party suppliers. Provide advice and assistance as necessary. This may include on-site visits if issues can not be solved remotely.
Ensure successful backups of the systems are undertaken at the specified intervals. Ensure that restore tests are completed on a regular basis and there is documented evidence of both back up and the recovery tests.
Provide network administration services to localised networks in Cornerstone’s services, including, but not limited to, good housekeeping, problem solving, maintain register of users, advise on compliance with relevant legislation and maintain records of licences and hardware in use.
Ensure that all calls logged with the external IT support provider are followed up and concluded satisfactorily.
Ensure that all Cornerstones PC’s have an annual audit performed on them and that appropriate records of this are maintained.
Assist in the development and maintenance of effective procedures, documentation and guidelines for IT users and support required internal communication process in a range of people engagement strategies by carrying out administrative tasks where required.
Manage the supply and auditing of company mobile phones and devices.
Develop an understanding and keep up to date with developments in job related legislation and communicate this knowledge through written and verbal advisory tasks.
Maintain staff confidentiality and process computer and manual filing systems in compliance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
Keep up to date with, and share new legislation, guidance and best practice when appropriate.
Contribute in the delivery of IT linked strategic objectives and support initiatives.
Ensure high levels of performance are achieved, KPIs are delivered and resources effectively utilised.

Essential Experience
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in the UK
Proven Helpdesk experience in a fast-paced environment.
Good standard of numeracy and literacy.
Good understanding of Network and connectivity including WiFi.
Good working knowledge of on premise and cloud environments
Good understanding of Active Directory
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages; legacy Microsoft workplace applications and Microsoft 365
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels, both internally and externally.
Able to effectively prioritise and plan own workload in a high volume, fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Able to collate, review and interpret information.
Enthusiastic, flexible and self reliant.
Demonstrable creative problem solving skills.
The Post Holder will be expected at times, to travel to regionally based Homes and offices to meet the requirements of the role and will require a full driving licence and access to their own vehicle.

About Us
Cornerstone Healthcare Group provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.

Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them unsuitable to live in dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.

We currently have 4 homes based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, Mytchett & Wincanton and are in the process of building a new service in Bristol due to open in early 2025.
