JOB TITLE : Finance Business Partner

JOB TYPE : Full Time - Permanent


JOB DESCRIPTION:

We're seeking a Finance Business Partner to play a key role in driving financial success for our innovative products. You'll be a trusted advisor, providing insightful analysis and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure financial health throughout the product lifecycle.


What you'll do:

  • Empower informed decision-making: Craft clear and compelling financial reports and analyses to keep leadership informed about project progress and potential risks or opportunities.
  • Sharpen financial forecasting: Manage financial forecasts for all product development projects, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Champion strong governance: Oversee project approvals and spending controls, guaranteeing adherence to best practices.
  • Navigate financial complexities: Manage the capitalization process according to IAS 38 standards, including time-tracking systems.
  • Collaborate for success: Partner with research, product development, clinical affairs, and product management teams to deliver products on time and within budget.
  • Ensure financial accuracy: Produce timely and accurate management accounts, adhering to accounting standards and procedures.
  • Embrace continuous improvement: Identify areas for process optimization and contribute to policy and procedure updates.


You're a perfect fit if you:

  • Hold a recognized accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA) or possess extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Communicate effectively, manage complex tasks with precision, and thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to manipulate large datasets for clear reporting.
  • Have a proven track record in commercial finance and business partnering.
  • Ideally, you'll bring experience in product development management accounting or a related field.
  • Understanding of the product development lifecycle and its governance is a plus.
  • International experience is beneficial, but not required.
  • You excel at problem-solving within collaborative teams.


This UK-based role and may involve occasional travel.
