About the role:
We’re on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in September 2024. As an HLTA, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our teachers and enhancing the learning experience for our students in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
This is a full-time, long-term position that offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young learners. You’ll be stepping into a dynamic role that requires creativity, initiative, and a deep understanding of the primary curriculum.
Application Requirements:
• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience working within a primary school setting.
• A solid understanding of the Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A proactive approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons and learning activities for groups of students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Support classroom teachers in assessing student progress and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Lead small group interventions to boost student achievement in core subjects like Maths and English.
• Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources to create a stimulating environment.
• Provide one-on-one support for students with additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and succeed in their learning goals.
