What Are We Looking For?

Our Asset Management and Technical Services team is looking for a Project Manager to join the team in our office in Cumbernauld. You’ll be responsible for the delivery of projects, or key elements within projects, and manage the performance of projects end-to-end. This will require supervision of operational sites and their delivery teams, including Project Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors and Sub-Contractors.

Some of Your Key Duties of the Role Include:

Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance and documentation. Meeting with clients to discuss specific requirements and carry out site surveys as required.nInstructing, directing, controlling, and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, with attention to quality, productivity and safety.nEnsure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of design and/or construction.nInterpret and check drawings, specifications, and schedules for all activities. Directing works accordingly & preparing final documentation (As Built Drawings etc.).nEarly identification and resolution of non-conformance within both the design and construction phase.nManage the design of systems and products, ensuring alignment with design specifications and technical aspects.nProcurement of goods and services.nPreparation of estimates and quotations.nCompletion of contract documents.nProduction of risk assessments and method statements.nManagement of health, safety, and environmental issues.

What Do You Need?

Qualification to degree / HND/ HNC level in Engineering or equivalent.nProven track record in Project Management, with an engineering or supervisory background.nDemonstrate experience in managing NEC contractsnGood time management, with the ability to multitask, plan and organise day-to-day workloads within a busy environment.nGood communication skills in both verbal and written communication with an ability to follow, interpret and explain technical instructions.nKnowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to all engineering trades, particularly Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering.nBe persuasive, encouraging and motivating and be able to elicit co-operation from a wide variety of sources, including senior management, clients, and other departments.nGood interpersonal skills with an ability to work with, lead and motivate others, and be able to bring projects to successful completion.nDriven, with an ability to work individually and with teams under your direction.nInnovative thinking, with an ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.nAbility to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.nWater experience highly advantageous but other specialist engineering industries will be considered.nFull UK Driving Licence
