Customer Account Manager
Alexander Steele are working exclusively with a globally successful alcoholic spirits business. The business have a portfolio of market leading brands, and they are enjoying a significant period of growth.
They are expanding their On Trade sales team.
Field Based – South Coast (Devon - Hampshire)
Up to £40k + car allow + 20% bonus + benefits
Key Responsibilities:
- management of a portfolio of customer accounts to meet and exceed budgeted volume and value sales
- distribution of our portfolio and grow rate of sale within a large and diverse customer base, developing robust JBPs/JMPs
- our brands by creating and executing innovative in-outlet activation, striving to secure maximum visibility of our brands
- and develop relationships with key customers and groups within your territory, becoming the go-to supplier
- and educate in outlet team members to deliver perfect serves and collaborate to create new and exciting cocktails, delivering increase ROS
- seek out new business opportunities to grow your on-trade customer base
- and deliver insight to the business on weekly and monthly customer performance, drive action from this and deliver incremental growth
- accurate internal communication to supply team re promotions/activations/changes to distribution are kept up to date
- functional working within the UK business and international departments.
- excellent product knowledge and critically be aware of all market trends across beers wines and spirits
Experience and skills required:
- 2 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or related field within the on-trade
- drinks experience and use in cocktails would be advantageous
- and ambitious self-starter with the ability to achieve targets and effectively organise own work schedule
- communication skills (both written and oral)
- commercial/financial understanding, together with intellect and curiosity to interpret performance, recommending appropriate actions
- to manage projects and multi-task whilst building strong and positive relationships at all levels (internal and external)
- managing some key accounts, building strong commercial relationships
- to flourish with minimal guidance, being pro active and able to handle uncertainty
- in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- about spirits and wines
