Transport Manager – North East Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits Hours: Monday–Friday (06:30–15:30 or 08:00–17:00) + occasional out-of-hours Location: Hartlepool Want your Transport Manager CPC to actually matter? A well-established recycling and resource management business is seeking a Transport Manager to oversee the safe, compliant and efficient operation of its transport function. The fleet supports a mix of local authority and commercial recycling services, helping to reduce landfill and improve environmental outcomes across the region. The Transport Manager will report to the Head of Transport and take ownership of day-to-day standards, driver leadership and full O-Licence responsibility. The Role You’ll be the named Transport Manager with continuous and effective responsibility managing 20-25 HGV’s and trailers. You will: Plan and schedule routes to ensure reliable collection and haulage services Maintain oversight of inspections, maintenance and MOT compliance Lead and support drivers, promoting safe, professional working practices Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions Ensure training, competency and safe systems of work are consistently applied Our Ideal Candidate It goes without saying that, as our ideal candidate, you will have your Transport Manager CPC and experience holding an O-License, with a background managing HGV operations (recycling, bulk haulage or similar).
