The project / product you will be responsible for:
Supporting critical deployments in the UK and overseas, you will play a pivotal role enhancing best practice, within a dynamic team.nWith the size and complexity of this high profile role, it provides the opportunity to shape the future of our business and successful execution of a long-term strategy. In particular, this means to develop efficient systems to optimise Whole Life Cost (WLC) through increased mean time between failure (MTBF), decreased mean time to repair (MTTR), , decreased administrative logistic downtime (ALDT), reduced burden on equipment managers and support staff optimise the level of total cost of ownership (TCO) and operational availability.nThis is also a fascinating opportunity to be a part of major defence projects within a growing company where you will see really tangible end-products.
The Role and Responsibilities:
To undertake the ILS tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-600 and customer Requirements.nTo author and develop ILS plans through to Customer acceptance and resulting implementation.nTo influence the design to optimise to reduce TLC and increase supportability, recommending alternatives where necessary.nTo undertake Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) tasks in accordance with Def Stan 00-40 and customer requirements.nTo identify areas of the product design which could impact on the Reliability or Maintainability of that product and to recommend alternatives to ensure R&M targets are attainable.nTo populate the Logistic Support Analysis Record with the analysis carried out in accordance with Def Stan 00-600. ASD S3000L and customer specifications.nTo provide support to the Proposals Department in writing ILS plans for tender proposals.nTo ensure tasks are completed to schedule; with a Customer accepted level of applied ILS; and, within the resources and costs allocated for the task.nTo support other Integrated Support Activities such as Training Needs Analysis development and information for the development of Technical Publications.

Engineering Degree or equivalent.nKnowledge of MAX MRP System, Defence Standards and Environments.nAwareness of military support solutions, skills and capabilities.nA strong understanding of Quality Management and Control systems.nKnowledge and use of ILS, Supportability and R&M techniques (including Windchill-RELEX software).nKnowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation Requirements.nUse computer packages: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PP and Project), MAX MRP System and Windchill (RELEX).nUse of ILS software – EAGLE, OmegaPS, OPUS10, SIMLOX or others.nGood written and verbal communication to clearly express views and ideas.nAbility to interact with all levels of staff both internally and externally.
