Senior Front-End Software Engineer

Front End E-commerce Senior E-commerce Front End Software Engineer Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire Hybrid, 2 days a week in the office Salary: Up to £65,000 basic + £6,000 car + bonus + benefits We are looking for a Senior E-commerce Front End Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimise high-performance B2C websites and shopping apps that enhance customer experience and business growth. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and responsive web pages using HTML5, CSS, jQuery, and Microsoft ASP. Build and optimise cross-platform shopping apps using Apache Cordova and Ionic. Enhance Front End performance, ensuring fast load times, smooth interactions, and accessibility compliance. Work closely with UX designers, Back End developers, and digital teams to integrate Front End solutions with marketing data layers for advanced analytics and A/B testing. Collaborate with DevOps engineers to integrate CI/CD pipelines and monitor Front End performance using New Relic. Stay up to date with emerging Front End technologies and E-commerce trends. What We're Looking For: Extensive experience in software development, including in a Front End role. Proven experience in developing and maintaining high-traffic E-commerce websites. Expertise in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, jQuery, and integration with Microsoft ASP/.NET. Experience in performance optimisation (lazy loading, code splitting, caching) and familiarity with web performance metrics (FCP, LCP, CLS). Strong understanding of Front End security best practices (CSRF, XSS, CORS). Familiarity with Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and mobile frameworks (Apache Cordova, Ionic). Desirable: Experience with SEO, digital advertising (Google Marketing Platform), and social media marketing Knowledge of digital merchandising Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, Selenium).
