The Client:
An established main contractor working across London and East Anglia in the commercial, public sector and residential refurbishment sectors, this forward-thinking, ambitious business draws on a wealth of historic experience, having established itself as one of the contractors of choice in the region on fast-track, technical and cut-and-carve works.
The Role:
As Senior Contracts Manager, you’ll be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple construction projects ranging from £200k to £2m in value across London and the surrounding Eastern counties, working closely with an exciting variety of clients with full autonomy to deliver works from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
* Overseeing and managing all aspects of the construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to a high-quality standard.
* Managing and coordinating sub-contractors, suppliers and materials, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.
* Managing all contractual aspects of the construction projects, including variations, claims, and disputes.
* Managing client expectations and maintaining regular communication to ensure satisfaction and retention.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and regulations.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a main contract Contracts Manager, with a minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, sub-contractors, and colleagues.
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts and regulations.
* Experience managing projects ranging from £200k to £2m in value, ideally with plenty of technical refurbishment experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Ideally Degree, HND or NVQ qualified in Construction Management.
* A proactive attitude to building client relationships.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
