Are you a passionate and dedicated Nursery Nurse with a commitment to making a positive impact on young children's lives? We are seeking an experienced Nursery Nurse to join our vibrant primary school in Islington, starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contribute to their early development in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Position: Qualified Nursery Nurse Location: Primary School in Islington Start Date: September Role: Full-Time, Term Time Only Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to children with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, and other developmental needs.
Assist in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each child's specific needs.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Work closely with the school's SENCo, teachers, and other professionals to deliver high-quality support and interventions.
Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children's progress and development.
Implement and follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.
Plan and deliver tailored activities that promote the development of key skills in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Foster positive relationships with children, helping them to build confidence and independence.Requirements:
A relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
Previous experience working with young children, particularly those with SEN.
Strong understanding of child development and the ability to support children with diverse needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to engage in training opportunities.Desirable:
Experience in a similar role within a primary school setting.
Knowledge of the EYFS framework and experience in planning and delivering activities in line with this.
Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.Benefits:
