Senior Regeneration Officer

Duration: 3-6 months initially possible extension

Rate: Negotiable Rate Inside IR35

Hours: 37 hours per week

Hybrid working – East Midlands

Responsibilities:

• Assist the Regeneration and Place Manager in the development and delivery of local regeneration polices, strategies, projects and plans

• Deliver and enable masterplans and other regeneration projects in full consultation with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders with a focus on integration of activity across the Council

• Directly support the Regeneration and Place Manager and Principal Regeneration Officer in the delivery of the Council’s regeneration projects and regeneration priorities relating to key strategic sites / opportunities

• Responsible for the setting of briefs for the appointment of external consultants

• Engage with the private sector in securing investment and construction in physical regeneration of all types, including engaging with potential developers, investors and the local business community

• Plan and prepare regeneration related events/consultation exercises including the design and production of leaflets, exhibition material and other public information documentation as required

• Write technically correct and accurate reports on regeneration issues and projects for Council Committees

Requirements:

• Knowledge of the property development industry

• Experience in assisting with the preparation of funding bids and ability to write accurately, timely and persuasive bids

• Experience (minimum 3 years) of working on / implementing regeneration projects within a local authority context
