Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Core Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 10:00 - 16:00

Friday: 10:00 - 12:00
Additional Working Hours:
Opening Time: 07:00 (each working day)

Closing Time: 17:00-18:00 (Monday to Thursday, not guaranteed)

Friday Closing Time: 13:00-17:00 (flexible, as people usually finish earlier)

Job Description:
We are looking for a diligent and reliable Picker/Packer/Scanner Operative to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, ensuring accurate receipt and dispatch of goods, and maintaining a high standard of order fulfillment. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures accurately, and some physical lifting within Health & Safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Picking Materials:
Accurately pick materials from job lists to prepare for production.

Ensure all picked items match the job requirements and are ready for the production process.
Packing:
Pack materials securely to prevent damage during transit.

Label and organize packed items correctly for easy identification.
Scanning:
Use scanning equipment to track and manage inventory.

Ensure all scanned items are correctly logged in the system.
Material Receipt:
Receive goods and verify the accuracy of shipments.

Check quantities and inspect for any damage upon receipt.

Book incoming materials into the inventory system.
General Duties:
Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist with other tasks as required, depending on workload and performance.

Comply with Health & Safety regulations, especially regarding lifting guidelines.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.

Ability to work accurately and efficiently with minimal supervision.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Good physical condition, capable of lifting boxes within Health & Safety guidelines.

Flexibility to work outside core hours when necessary.
