MEP Project Manager

BRIEF OVERVIEW

A leading firm with expertise in designing and installing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) building services is actively seeking an MEP Project Manager to join their expanding team, based in West London.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • Ensure all required attendees are present and disseminate information at internal pre-start meetings.
  • Run a safe site and improve workforce safety standards.
  • Regularly engage with clients to review and act on project KPIs.
  • Assist in preparing the construction programme.
  • Monitor and produce short-term programmes from the master programme.
  • Maintain allocation sheets for all works.
  • Ensure adequate resources within set budgetary limits to achieve programme objectives.
  • Define roles and responsibilities within the project team.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and environmental issues.
  • Produce progress reports and submit Trade Reviews promptly.
  • Manage potential risks to the company at internal and external site meetings.
  • Enforce site standard operating procedures including environmental requirements.
  • Interpret construction drawings and produce schedules for required materials.
  • Review and implement method statements and risk assessments.
  • Meet regularly with the project surveyor and provide necessary paperwork.
  • Record delays and collect variations, site instructions, dayworks, etc.
  • Monitor progress against the construction programme and produce cause and effect reports.
  • Manage the design team/process to meet programme requirements.
  • Ensure work is installed according to specifications and signed off by supervising personnel.
  • Oversee and assist foremen in completing works orders and ordering materials.
  • Provide regular feedback on supplier performance to the purchasing department.
  • Resolve delivery and performance issues with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Investigate and rectify post-contract defects promptly.
  • Recover costs associated with defect rectification from suppliers/subcontractors if applicable.

SALARY PACKAGE

  • Salary: 65,000k - 85,000 per year negotiable depending on experience
