The role of Electronic Test Development Engineer will require you to take responsibility for the design, development of Functional Test Application Specifications of both hardware and software to ensure the highest quality test applications programmes for electronic products.
General Description
Design and develop applications for the functional test of electronic and electrical products. Define the test approach and/or specifications and document the project scope for each project and generate test programmes using LabVIEW and TestStand
Technical Requirements:
* Engineering qualification in electronic/electrical engineering ideally to degree level with in-depth relevant functional test programme development experience
* Currently employed in a test development role within an electronic manufacturing environment.
* Software design using LabVIEW and Test Stand, to produce functional test programmes for electronic products. 5 years +. This is Essential
* Experience of electronic hardware design, including use of schematic CAD
* Equipment interfaces (e.g. fixtures), test system architecture and basic electro-mechanical engineering would be an advantage
Competencies
* Excellent organisational skills, with ability to work on a variety of projects
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Good communicator at all levels, including external customers and suppliers
* Good collaborator and contributor
* Strong planning and time management skills, able to define and meet deadlines and targets
* Takes ownership and responsibility for personal actions/contribution and projects
* A practical and analytical thinker of complex tasks
* Basic salary c£45-£48k + Bens and annual Bonus.
Currently holds security clearance, or agreeable and be eligible to obtain the required high level of security clearance required. You will require your own transport.
