My client are seeking an experienced and adaptable Test Development Engineer to join their team in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Systems/Circuit design, management, and software development, with a focus on testing Electronic Power Control Units for the Aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and introduce ATE Test Systems, particularly NI PXI based production (NPI) test equipment for Electronic Power Control Units, incorporating Mil Std., ARINC 429, CAN Bus, RS422, RS232, JTAG, and other high-speed logic.
Compile top-level scripts and lower-level LabVIEW drivers, NI TestStand, and ensure traceability via DOOR and Technical Requirements/Compliance Matrix.
Qualification testing, validation, and verification of safety-critical product designs, including hydraulic and mechanical elements.
Set up Electro-Mechanical, Hydraulic Systems, and perform electrical validation of LRUs.
Develop and maintain automated test setups for product-specific lab tests.
Design, develop, and commission test equipment for specific programs and other projects, adhering to industry standards and specifications.Key Skills:

Extensive experience in ATE Test Systems Design, Development, and Introduction.
Proficient in LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and other relevant tools.
Experience in Electro-Mechanical and Hydraulic Systems setup.
Strong background in RF test equipment (2-18 GHz), Spectrum & Network Analyzers, Signal Generators, etc.
Familiarity with EMC testing and problem-solving techniques.
Management and planning skills, including cost estimation and expenditure control.
