Software Developer

We are delighted to work with a growing start-up, seeking a Software Developer to join a growing development team. This role offers opportunities to grow with the team. We’re looking for a talented software developer who can seamlessly integrate into the development team and assist in various aspects of our development process (from design to development to testing).

Key skills and experience:

  • Strong software development background (to degree level).
  • Good understanding of software testing, QA principles, tools, and methodologies; and willingness to undertake software testing.
  • Demonstrable proficiency in debugging and bug fixing.
  • Ability to deliver small software projects to a defined specification.
  • At least 1 years’ experience in a software development role.

Frontend Development (Angular, TypeScript, HTML and CSS):

  • Strong expertise in Angular TypeScript and HTML, SCSS for building responsive and user-friendly web applications.
  • Understanding of frontend build tools, such as Webpack, and package managers like npm.
  • Experience in crafting reusable components and maintaining clean and modular code.

AWS Services (Amplify, Cognito, and Deployment):

  • Knowledge and experience with AWS Amplify for streamlined frontend development, including authentication, API management, and hosting.
  • Knowledge of AWS Cognito for secure user authentication and authorization.
  • Familiarity with AWS deployment services, including AWS CloudFront, AWS CodeBuild, and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of AWS security practices and the implementation of secure coding standards.

Backend Development (Node.js and AWS Lambda Functions):

  • Proficient in Node.js for developing robust and scalable backend APIs.
  • Experience with serverless architecture, particularly in AWS Microservices including AWS Lambda functions and API Gateway.
  • Knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Familiarity with database systems, both SQL (e.g., Amazon RDS) and NoSQL (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Mongo).

Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to modern technologies and methodologies.
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain comprehensive records of code, processes, and configurations.
