Morson are partnering with Midlands based Technology company seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join the team for a period of 12 months initially.
The role’s responsibility is to provide dedicated financial support to the Transport Project Teams and be the first port of call for finance related queries for the senior management team.  The role is crucial in driving the Transport business to exceed its financial targets through accurate reporting, robust forecasting and rigorous financial review. 
There will be regular engagement with the Project and Senior Management Teams with a remit to challenge and improve the financial outturn through a deep understanding of not just accounting but the business, environment and services/solutions offered. 
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Management Accountant:
Act as the primary interface for Business and Service Leads, building strong business understanding and effective relationships.
Support the Finance Business Partner and deputise in their absence.
Provide financial oversight for a portfolio of projects within the Project organisation.
Manage Project & Month-End Accounting, focusing on Orders, Sales, and Margin for the Transport Business.
Lead Working Capital Analysis, with a focus on accurate cash forecasting and managing inputs into Transport figures.
Consolidate monthly cash forecasts for project portfolios into overall Transport financials.
Support the Bid Winning process and ongoing new business integration.
Identify and implement process improvements for accuracy and efficiency.
Contribute to Monthly Business & Contract Reviews, driving profitability and improving forecast accuracy.
Own Budgeting & Forecasting processes, coordinating annual budgets and quarterly forecasts using PBCS, and manage monthly Latest Views for reporting.
Engage with project and finance teams, with some days required in the Warwick office.
Skills, Experience & Qualification :
Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
Relevant experience in contract or project management.
Strong in mathematics, advanced in Excel, and proficient with Oracle Financials and systems like Sitetacker, PowerBI, and Qlikview.
Experienced in managing multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and deliverables simultaneously.
Commitment to delivering outstanding results and going the extra mile.
Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex accounting for non-financial stakeholders.
High integrity, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership.
Consistently meet deadlines and deliver top-tier service.
Minimum application Requirements:
Qualified Accountant – CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
Advanced Excel user
Proficient with ORACLE financials
Experience in contract or project management
Must be able to travel to Warwick each week
