Salary: £25K basic OTE: £30/35K Guaranteed commission first 2 months.
Location – Birmingham: Home based role offering flexibility and autonomy
Are you currently working in media sales and enjoy the flexibility and freedom of working independently.
We are a small, friendly company but have been established for over 20 years and have an exceptional portfolio of established niche publications. Our publications are for organizations and associations primarily in the surgical and health care sector. The magazines are extremely well known and established journals with high repeat rates for advertising from leading national and international companies.
The Advertising Sales Executive role:
* Good basic salary of £25k, realistic commission earnings of £30/35K per annum and with a guarantee for the first couple of months.
* Managing all advertising into two leading peer reviewed medical journals covering print, web, e-shots and job boards
* A large part of the role will be managing existing clients and working with them to establish their needs and come up with creative solutions for the year.
* Growth is also important and you will have the responsibility of researching and developing new business accounts.
* Each edition has its own target with an accumulative annual target You will need to attend a small number of events to represent the Journals and build on our industry and client relationships
* Maintain and grow the Company and client records and administer all required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner – boring we know but an essential part of the role.
Key Requirements:
* You need a proven track record in advertising sales covering print and digital platforms
* You need to portray confidence and an entrepreneurial approach when dealing with senior decision makers and advertising agencies.
* Possess strong written communication and sale skills
* The ability to work take responsibility, work independently, meet deadlines and hit targets.
* Contribute to the development of the Journals – a creative thinker with an eye for innovation and constant improvement.
* Although independent you will be part of a dedicated team of journalists, designers and back office staff who all work closely and are dependent on each other.
