TXM Recruit are currently looking for a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to work in the Southall, London area working in ultra-high-end mansions for a private property management solution company. The role will be working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8-4 or 9-5, with lots of overtime available. Must work weekends on a shift rota (roughly 1 in 4 but will vary).
This role requires flexibility during their busy season (May to October) with regards to hours and days worked.
Salary: Up to £35,000
(Overtime after 40 hours is at time and a half)

We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis:
Key responsibilities:
Undertake general building maintenance & repairs throughout our buildings.
Maintaining commercial kitchens plant & equipment.
Maintaining kitchens, bathroom plumbing, sanitary ware & drainage.
Basic carpentry, door hinges & locks. Plastering, tiling, Painting & decoration. Replacing damaged ceiling tiles. General lighting checks.
Source materials from local suppliers and manufacturers.
Oversee contractors.
Assist other staff members as required. I.E., replaced AHU filters.
Maintain a safe working environment for colleagues.
Provide cover for colleagues in times of absence and on – call assistance.
Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard.
Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
Liaise regularly with colleagues, supervisors, and managers to ensure an efficient and effective service is always delivered to the client.
Provide a highly customer focused service to the company and client at all times.
Provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence.
Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety.
Any other duties as and when required.

Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities:
Ability to demonstrate good use of basic hand tools.
Knowledge of a building trade i.e., carpentry, door & window locks, decorating, plastering & tiling.
Sound numerical ability for measuring and making calculations.
Have recognised C&G, NVQ qualifications.
Basic knowledge of current Building Regulations.
A thorough understanding of Health and Safety standards.
A professional approach with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality.
Full clean UK driving licence.
Significant proven experience.
Be able to follow specific instructions.

High level of written and verbal communication skills across all levels.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated with the ability to use their initiative.

Can follow instructions in a cooperative and accurate manner.
Able to work well in a team and unsupervised.
Extremely confidential, discreet, trustworthy, respectful, and honest.
Strong practical ability with well-developed problem-solving skills.
Careful, accurate, logical, and methodical approach to work, with high attention to detail.
