Reputable sub-contract machining company are looking for CNC Lathe Operator/Setter to join their long-established team in Redditch. Offered as a permanent contract, with competitive pay rate based on experience. One role as CNC Lathe Operator/Setter will be on the Sliding Head machines, the other on the Milling. The ideal candidate will hold experience in either of these and previous Milling/ Drilling/ Turning skills.
Previous CNC experience is essential to fulfil the position of CNC Lathe Operator/Setter. Within this role you will be offered overtime, free car parking and company pension.
Duties and responsibilities of CNC Lathe Operator/Setter
* Operate Citizen BNJ (Fanuc) Citizen BNE (Mitsubishi) Doosan lynx, Doosan TT
* Maintain set change offsets and inserts
* Ability to do simple change overs would be advantageous
* Using measuring gauges
* To produce components within the agreed standard time
* Ability to read and interpret drawings
* Working to tight tolerances and in process measurements
* High precision tolerance works as well as volume
* Quality control, working to customer specification
Skills/attributes required by successful candidate for the role of CNC Lathe Operator/Setter
* Previous experience of CNC Lathe Operating/Setting
* Previous experience with fixed head twin spindles and bar feeders
* Attention to detail
* Be an effective communicator
* Team player, with pride in one’s work and a desire for success
* Be adaptable and willing to go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines
Location: Redditch
Hours of Work: Backshift - 14:00 – 22:00 Monday – Thursday / 12:00 – 20:00 Friday
Night Shift – 20:00pm -06:00am Monday-Thursday
Salary: £13 - £15 per hour
