National Account Manager, Premium RTD Drink Brand, National, Up to £60k, Uncapped Commission


My client is a leading premium Ready-To-Drink (RTD) beverages company known for our innovative and high-quality products. They are committed to redefining the drinking experience by offering a range of unique, refreshing, and sophisticated beverages that cater to the discerning tastes of modern consumers. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a dynamic and results-driven National Account Manager to lead our efforts in the Off Trade, Convenience, and Foodservice.


The ideal National Account Manager will need to have worked in the Drinks FMCG sector managing Regional Wholesalers along with a number of OFF trade businesses – with the scope to gain equity and progression within the business.


The National Account Manager responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage key national accounts across the Off Trade, Convenience, and Foodservice channels, ensuring the achievement of sales targets and business objectives.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the designated channels, expanding the company’s footprint and driving revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including buyers, category managers, and senior decision-makers within target accounts.
  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for each channel, aligning with overall company objectives and market trends.
  • Lead negotiations with key accounts, securing favorable terms and conditions that support the company’s profitability and growth.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Work closely with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of account plans and product launches.
  • Reporting & Analysis: recommendations to senior management.


The ideal National Account Manager Candidate:


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management within the FMCG, beverage, or alcohol industry, with a strong track record of success in the Off Trade, Convenience, and/or Foodservice channels.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Deep understanding of the UK retail landscape, particularly within the Off Trade, Convenience, and Food Court sectors.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
