Due to our continued growth, Progress Teachers are looking for a Caretaker to join a Secondary School based in Sutton Coldfield. If you take pride in creating a clean and inviting environment, we welcome you to apply for the School Caretaker Position.
Key Responsibilities:
* To liaise closely and support the Premises Manager in the objective of ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day running, presentation and management of the School site, ensuring a warm, clean, safe and secure environment for all authorised users of the site and visitors.
* To carry out school maintenance and repairs as directed by the Premises Manager ensuring these works are carried out by the relevant Health and Safety legislation.
* Perform a variety of cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to ensure a tidy and welcoming atmosphere.
* Be conversant with the Health and Safety policies relevant to the post including those relating to manual handling, working from height and fire safety.
* Responsible for the School’s timely waste management collections including all recyclables.
* The movement of furniture and the setting up and taking down of tables and chairs for special events, functions and meetings.
* Manning the School entrance during school events, some out of hours working is expected.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
* Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and effective use equipment’s
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
* Possess strong attention to detail and organisational skills to maintain high cleanliness standards.
* Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
