Our client, based in London, is a leading retail design and brand experience agency specialising in retail environments and brand experiences. They create a range of experiential, creative marketing and branding experiences working with global brands including Kurt Geiger, Samsung, Vivienne Westwood, Pret a Manager and many more
They are looking for a dynamic, experienced Business Development Manager to join their team and drive new business growth. The ideal candidate will generate and develop new opportunities, convert leads into business relationships and contribute to the company’s expansion. Prior experience selling retail design, fitout and marketing required.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
Business Development:
Increase new business by identifying and developing new opportunities
Develop website generated leads into new business opportunities
Conduct market research to find new customer and business prospects
Build and maintain a comprehensive database of prospective clients.
Establish and manage relationships with key decision-makers, secure meetings with decision-makers within target customers
Write and deliver compelling pitches and tender responses and oversee the entire sales process from discovery to order
Take and understand full briefs from customers, ensuring client briefs are sufficient for development and manufacturing.
Organise and communicate relevant client, order or project information clearly
Track and record account activity to help close deals and meet targets.
Attend trade events, networking events, seminars, shows, and other events to build a robust client network
The Perfect Candidate:
Proven experience selling retail design and marketing solutions to retailers and brands
Strong knowledge of POS / POP, displays, retail/store design, visual merchandising, windows, etc.
Understanding of business development/account management principles within Retail, Brands, Convenience, Distributors and Services sectors
Ability to plan, organise, communicate and manage customer relationships effectively
IT and social media literacy
Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
Driven, energetic and professionally ambitious with a strong sense of pressure
Self-starter, independent, and self-sufficient.
