We are looking for a Commercial Administrator to join Transcal Engineering - 100% on-site, based in Pershore, England.


To provide general commercial administrative support to the Estimating Manager, and Managing Director, ensuring the business is suitably positioned for meeting customer expectation and requirements.


Responsibilities

  • Aid the Sales Order Validation process, verifying customer purchase orders are correctly priced and have valid quotations.
  • Prepare reports, proposals, and undertake projects as instructed by the Estimating Manager, and Managing Director
  • Process enquiries and prepare quotations.
  • Set up, maintain, and develop filing system(s), databases, processes, and action logs, liaising with internal stakeholders and relevant departments, to ensure ongoing communications.
  • Liaise with customers daily, acknowledging Purchase Orders, confirming delivery dates, and assist with Sales Order processing.
  • Maintain and update active commercial records, creating reports as necessary and required.
  • Monitor Customer Portals, providing support to internal stakeholders and departments, i.e., Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Commercial teams (this will require a vetting process)
  • Preparation of Request for Quotation / Contract Review meeting documentation, and recording minutes
  • Develop and maintain performance tracking documents, ensuring KPI’s are monitored routinely.
  • Ongoing MRP / ERP integration tests
  • Create and submit quotations and new business tenders / proposals in a timely manner to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Create quotations and tenders by interfacing with key business functions, and by using standard business templates and pricing structures.
  • Maintaining quotation / tender business templates and pricing structures


Essential

  • Held a similar position with the minimum 5 years’ experience within engineering and / or fabrication environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a proven history in operating at a strategic level
  • Application of numerical and IT skills, and proficient with the use of Microsoft Windows packages
  • Completion of Secondary Education


Desirable

  • Quality aware and experience of working within a client-driven environment.
  • The ability to read engineering drawings is advantageous.
  • Experience of SAGE 200 is advantageous.
  • Planning experience, NPI, and product life cycle
  • Experience of Defence (AQAP’s, Mil Std’s), Rail (RIS), and automotive (IATF) standards
